The Clearwater Maritime Aquarium is a small non-revenue aquarium. Opening in 1972 on Clearwater Beach front, the aquarium is most well known for Winter the dolphin. Rescued to be a calf in 2005, Winter was among the initially dolphins to have been fitted using a prosthetic tail just after shedding it as a result of entanglement in the crab entice.
